Get rid of fear and panic attacks!

What is it?

Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) is a brief therapy that utilises simple eye movements and questioning techniques to change a particular thought pattern that may be problematic for you.

 

 

IEMT has earned itself a reputation to deliver fast and sustaining results in the field of fear and phobia related problems. Also IEMT has proven its healing value in cases like burn-out and stress.

 

 

How does it work?

During the IEMT sessions your eyes will follow a specific pattern, resulting in new connections in the brain.

In most cases this leads to the decrease or the total disappearance of emotions which are connected to fear, phobia or other undesired emotions, which arise when a person is confronted with a specific situation (for instance the sight or near presence of spiders, birds, mice, or for instance the confrontation with height or situations reminding of past negative experiences).

 

What can I expect?

IEMT is helpful when dealing with traumatic images that lead to fear or other unpleasant feelings, or when struggling with returning negative emotions (depression, lack of energy, spiritual fatigue). IEMT can help to transform these emotions into more positive emotions. The transformed emotions should help you to cope better with situations that previously were unpleasant. Basically IEMT appears to bring the client more into the present moment and enables them to avoid repeating past negative experiences.

 

This is important because the mind often uses past experiences to make sense of present experience. If those past experiences have strong negative emotions attached to them, a person can find themselves responding with emotions of a type and amplitude that seem totally inappropriate to the situations where they occur. Not only that, these emotions often act as a negative filter on the events being experienced, shaping our responses and behaviours to the detriment of ourselves and other people.

 

 

 

Unlike many psychological therapeutic processes, IEMT does not require you to disclose lots of details about your experience or give details about troublesome events. It is in effect a “secret therapy”. Disclosure is not required and your secrets remain secret. No need for painful digging into the past.

How long does it take?

Usually a session takes up to 1 hour, and in most cases one session is sufficient.

The costs of one session is € 50,- incl. vat.
